Measurement-wise? Does anyone have both and willing to do a comparison pic?

I've been trying to figure out what to do for sponson-less sides.

Got some EA Leman russ at home, took some measures today.

It's a little bit bigger than the originals but it's not so bad. I think it would work to have a mix.

I have the chimera and hellhound models from the same company and they're very similar in size to the originals. I have some of the tanks on order now so I could give you more information once they arrive.

One interesting aspect of that model is that the sponson weapons are a separate part allowing for various configurations to be built.

I do agree with you, you can choose to built a normal LR, or a conqueror company. The FW conquerors are far too expensive on ebay and this is an interesting alternate solution.

Will probably order some once.

Actually regular FW russes of all flavors came without sponsons so good for the whole range. Some of the EA lists use that "version" of weapons (e.g. GlynG's DKoK Tank Regiment list for instance)

Just got some normal Russes and Vanquishers though yesterday, a lot nicer than I was expecting. They looked a bit light on detail on the website but look good in the metal. Might be able to get some photo's up at the weekend.

I have nothing to back this up concretely but anecdotally it appears that their quality is improving over time.

Just FYI guys ... real tank tread patterns are not always the same. They may be the same at one location, country, region etc. ... But in a big Galaxy you could have various track patterns ... just say'n ... 8)

Inconvenient truths like that are no match for Dave's OCD, L4. If he has a Mark 1 Mod 3 (of anything), then the rest of them will be Mark 1 Mod 3 dammit :P

Indeed. Stowage is allowed to be moved about, but that's the limit of what my guardsmen are allowed.

Regardless ... all my AFVs will be Fully Mission Capable and have no Hanger Queens, sitting around awaiting all parts that match ... :P
