Another year, another thread title loosely linking my painting with a movie of the same number. ;D

Continuing on with the Knights for Adepticon. This week I blocked out all of the yellow on the Baron and Lancers. I'm thinking of doing checkers on the Baron's left shin rather than yellow, as there's not going to be enough room for me to do on the shield there with the decal.

I'm also not sure what to do with the Power Lances at this point either, some portion will likely be blue but the missile head looking thing might be white.

Finally, here's a shot of my progress to date. I still need to do some touch-up on the front row but they're the closest to done at this point.

Looking good so far. I probably wouldn't do the power lances in blue. You're already using that as the accent color on the models so making it also the same color as a "glowy bit" is going to confuse the eye. I think I'd go with a green since that would work well with the other colors.

Sadly down to monthly updates, but work continues. The yellow is nearing completion. I have two more highlights and a glaze on 28 of the Knights.

Image

After that, I either head back and do the blue on them or start focusing just on what I'll need for Adepticon. We'll see how next week goes but with three weeks left I'm guessing it's going to be the latter.

I scored some of the ancient Citadel flock for these guys, but I still want to do the plastict jungle plants that I have (HO scale ferns, potato plants and bachelor buttons).

It's slightly exaggerated as the Custodians are shorter. He's slightly taller than Lancers, but definitely bulkier.

Work continues. I might have overdone the last highlight on these. We'll see how they look after touchup.

Image

It was a pretty productive week, I finished the yellow, blue, eyes and most of the decals. At this point there's a few decals to go (custom cut ones for the Errant and Castellans), the check pattern, touch-up (especially around the eyes) and base detail to go.

Image

After that, I want to finish up six Thunderbolts for Adepticon. I haven't given much more thought to objectives yet either, not sure if I'll get them done.
