God... Everything came in soooo late, i sat up to 5am getting everything to at least table standard before having to leave for Cancon the next day.

It's after the event, so here are some pictures. I still have a lot of work to do with them, and I'm not happy with my Castellans, going to find some other kind of quadraped or other mech to use as a base instead.

So here we go: (sorry for bad photo's)

So the knights are on hold for a bit before i finish them now... need to find a good quadroped mech as a base for my new custodians and castellans.

So this weekend past i decided to try my hand at making Terrain for the first time. This started with a rough plan i made a couple of weeks ago at work:

A delivery came in of Brigade Models desert buildings and i knocked up the two first pieces on some cork tiles

Sorry for the blurry first pic.

I also spent some time prepping my first 1500 pts of Dark Angels for our clubs Heresy slow grow.
We have a large range of players fielding many different legions, traitor and loyalists, as well as a few guard and titan players jumping in.
The missions will be scenario based with 1500pt additions each month.

I should have some pics up by the end of the week with my first 1500pts
(no Lords of War choices or Aircraft/Teleporters/Droppods for the loyalists in the first month)

Some updates from the weekend and a couple of afternoons this week.

My first 1500pts is ready for our local clubs Horus Heresy slow grow campaign.
We'll be playing scenarios through the months which will determine army limitations in what we can add.
First month the Loyalists are denied Super Heavies, Lords of War and Aircraft/spacecraft. Representing that we are on the run after the dropsite massacre.

So here is my painted force for month one:

Tactical marines with Lord Commander, AA Support and land raider transports

Assault marines with chaplain

Land speeder javelins

Recon marines

Really looking forward to this ongoing campaign, we have a lot of players representing pretty much all the Legions and a couple of Imperial guard and Titan Legions. We'll be playtesting the Heresy supplement and providing a lot of feedback to fattdex as we go along.
I'm already trying to plan my options for next month, hoping to be able to field a Glaive or Fellblade

I have noticed while prepping my choices for next month i am pretty much out of the black infantry stips... anyone know of where to get some more? I really don't want to change thickness of the base
