Well my first 3000pts is almost all assembled and I have started putting paint on some minis so I thought I should start showing them off.

These are the first 6mm minis that I have started to paint ever, so far so good

I work in metal fabrication so the bases are pieces of 2mm aluminium sheet that I cut to size or for the discs punched them out on one of our machines.

As for the actual basing material I have applied a coarse polyfilla to the base which gives some sculpting potential and has a finer texture than sand which is nice at this scale, then I have applied the GW brown texture paint over this in places to help it out a bit. The barbed wire is a spring from a lock cylinder.

So far the yellow is just a a couple of thin washes over an even white undercoat, I'll post a stage by stage coming up.



And yes there are a lot of Iron Warriors around, Onyx's are one of teh reasons for me choosing Imperial Fists so it should be nice to have a game with the two armies across from each other when mine is all painted

I would like to see an artillery battle between the Ordinatus and the Titan in the IF list. :)
