Here's the 1k of ulthwé stuff that I took to BotT yesterday - I'm planning on bringing it up to 3k over the next year or so. The scheme was partially inspired by this. Sorry for the pictures, should probably have waited for daylight...

Black Guardians (the guardians are troublemaker eloi):

Revenant (from 40k eldar parts):

Next to paint is ~2K of marines in 2 weeks :(

Very nice. I like the Revenant, super crisp paint job on him!

These are lovely! Looking forward to seeing more from you. :)

2k Marines in 2 weeks sounds like sore eyes and a bad back.

Agreed on both counts!

They look aceballs Charles! Hope to see them in the flesh next year

Any chance on some WIP pics of the Revenant?

I'm dismayed at the lack of orange paint in this thread. :(

Pretty, pretty models though!

Thanks for the comments! There's a tiny bit of orange paint on the gems...

I didn't take any WIP pictures of the revenant, can do for the next one of the pair when I make it, but it wasn't that complicated to do. It's mainly just a plastic wraithguard. The holofield vane's been replaced with the slightly larger one from the wraithlord, the head's a dire avenger with the crest shaved off, and the jetpacks are taken from the wraithknight. The gun arms are just the wraithguard guns snipped off about half way down, hands scraped off them, and then pinned to the wraithguard wrists.

I came here expecting a discussion around orange paints. Instead I find these minis painted to a sickeningly competent level instead. False advertising! ;)

Lovely work, mate. I'm especially pleased with the Revenant kitbash. Subbing this thread for sure!

That is indeed an awesome kit bash. Definitely know what I am doing when I get round to resurrecting my eldar.

Based on seeing them in person at the event i can confirm that they are ace!
In fact, they placed 3rd for best painted army! *thumb up

Ok what parts did you actually use on that kitbash anyways? last time I spent any time modeling Eldar it was when Aspect Warriors were first added in WD 120ish

I find the lack of orange paint disturbing....

Awesome job on the Eldar, great kitbash on the Revenant, and those eloi look ace.

Very much looking forward to it. The last lot I saw on eBay was $150ish for two of them. I would buy yours, don't have much time for modeling and painting unf.
