You know, if you want to put any business GW's way. £48 for this pack of 3 beasties:

I'm not really keen on dropping £50 right now on titans I might not use (prefer Warlords/Warhounds), but I think with a new, less insectoid head, they'd make a decent "lost pattern" of Imperial Reaver. Even had the Mechanicus symbol on the carapace! Limited weapons options though, some work would have to be done there.

That is a LOT of money for something that is not very large.

Well it is 3 of them. Which is cheaper than 3 of the Reavers would have cost from FW before they stopped producing them.

The look much to small to be Reavers to me.

Leave the top gun off and they could make a good Warhound proxy.

@Hulksmash.
I thought it was just one since it listed quantity 1, and I didn't read all the way through the third paragraph to find out the price. It's easier to spot '3' than 'three' when you're skimming ;)

Not so bad a price then. Still I'd rather give my money to someone actively supporting 6mm.

And their faces look like bits of Space marine backpacks.

They are pretty obvious robots though.. And we have those in Epic also as robots

There could be pilots in epic scale inside that head though. We do indeed have an old epic version of these robots I believe.

They're modern re-imaginings of these Rogue Trader era robots:

Hi!

Perhaps more of a true scale warhound?

With some head swapping I think it would serve as a chaos looking one.

There does seem the distinct possibilities around using it for the base of a slaneeshi war engine. I'd think significant GS sculpting would be needed to make it not immediately look like a 30k mini plopped down but seeing much of the work I've seen on the boards I wouldn't think it's undoable

GlynG, now you've made me nostalgic for my old rogue trader armies again. :)

Based on my Reavers and Warhounds I'd say it's a better fit for a Reaver. It seems to be about as tall as a terminator wihtout the back weapon and that's the approximate height of my reaver's at home. It's mounted on a 60mm like my Reaver. My warhound is pretty much just marine height.

I have some of those 40k robots..I tried to hunt them all down but they are VERY expensive nowadays

It depends what models / scale you're using for your Warhounds and Reavers.

The old metal titans were out of scale with everything else in epic and you might be right for them. I use truescale titans instead (one fifth scale of the 40k titans like other epic models) and my Warhounds are just under 6cm tall on 60mm bases or around 8.5cm tall on Reavers (that aren't based yet but will probably be on 70mm bases).

Yeah, I use the metal Reavers (the most recent on that GW produced) and the Forgeworld Warhound. So that's what I was comparing it too. No worries though. I do really like those models for Reavers though. I might have a Chinese friend ship me some :)
