Post subject:  Proxies for Imperial Guard

Hi,
I am looking for some IG proxies for a Genestealer Cult army. In particular sentinels, hydras and leman russes.

I know the sentinels can sometimes be had at reasonable prices on eBay, but I prefer to stick to readily available proxy alternatives. The Star Wars "chicken" AT might fit the bill, but I haven't been able to find any.

As for the hydra, a simple stationary quad turret in 6 or 10mm might work for a conversion.

Leman Russ tanks look rather iconic to me and I would very much like to find something with a close resemblance.

Any suggestions or ideas?

Cheers :-)

Leman Russ: Troublemaker Games Churchillian tanks
Hydra: Check out the iccarus from Exodus Wars. I use the turrets in my 3rd edition hydras as I think they look better. Onyx uses them as his Hyperios in his Iron Warriors as well. They work as is or via a quick kitbash with various tank chassis

Thanks for all the replies. :)

Added to my catalog of proxies for Genestealer Cult. (Link).

I also found a couple of interessting Shapeways candidates here and here.

What Shapeways material do people usually recommend for 6mm miniatures?

Frosted Detail for larger stuff, frosted ultra detail for everything else

I personally only do FUD and even then apply a 1000 grit sand paper to it often
