Right-o after caving completely in I've ordered a nice chunk of Onslaught Miniatures Terran Hybrids after seeing a thread on this very forum. I'm now going to be running a full 'Stealer Cult corrupted by Chaos (Just like the good old days of RT).

I've already have a large Cult for 40k so it's rather fitting to remake it in 6mm

But being newish to 6mm I'm rather stuck on what figures to use, so does anyone have some recommendation for unit/tank choices or can point me in direction of pictures of completed forces.

Indeed it's what finally pushed to buy the Onslaught Hybrids , trouble is most thread isn't of use as much of the discussion about miniatures happens to be just about the choice of trucks and praise for the amazing painted figures rather then figure options.

But nonetheless I have drooled over that thread alot hehe

I used some kitbashed exodus wars vehicles as transports and notchimeras in my Nurgle LatD. I think there is a pic (unpainted) in my plog. Planning on reusing for my onslaught hybrid cult too.

Perhaps we could be of more assistance, if we knew what models you are looking for. Having looked at the Cult list in the Army Compendium, I guess you are looking for proxies for the standard Guard vehicles. My best advice would be to look at the function of the unit, and start searching for suitable proxies. There are plenty of good 6mm manufaturers nowadays, so there are plenty of fun models. Since it is a cult uprising, non-standard vehicles might suit you better anyway. I know that is the way I am heading with my Chaos Cultists.

For instance:
Leeman Russ - main battle tank
Chimera - APC
Basilisk: self-propelled artillery
Hydra - self-propelled anti-air
Sentinels - scout vehicle (walkers are in short supply)
Civilian vehicles - these are the hardest. I find most 6mm trucks are a bit on the small side. I loved uvenlords(?) mixing of old-school battlewagonz with truck bits. Onslaught Miniatures has something down the pipeline, but I do not know what, yet.

Hey, thanks for the help.

I'm running it as the Net Epic list.

Options I'm finding hardest are Cultists/Brood Brothers, Aye while I can run with IG or Chaos Cultists I'm not really keen to run that many mono-pose plastics. I'm also on based it on a low tech world which tends to limit some of the options.

The other main problem is the lack of suitable Limos, which is a must for any self respecting Cult. Of course being on a Low tech world I picture mine being around the 1930/1940 style of car.

Now as I'm running them with Chaos, I'd also like some options for alternative Chaos Marines and Rhinos.

Depending on how corrupted you want your Chaos Marines to be, Novan Elites from Troublemaker Games' latest crowdfunder might fit the bill. Rhinos are really easy to find on eBay but if you are set on buying new, Onslaught do a nice APC that could proxy as a Rhino.

I may mix those together to make a Cultists/Insurgent unit .... For '30s- '40s vehicles you may have to go with WWII 6-10mm staff cars and military trucks ...

Onslaught stuff is a gift for sure, but you can run some simple conversions off of Orks too: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=15730&start=75

I really like the Exodus Wars Hoplon APCs. Classic lines.
That same thread shows a conversion from one and how pathetically long it has been since I worked on my Cult!

Edit:

Bought a pack of both Ketzali & Light Infantry as a taster, Idea being to get other humans to mix with the Light Infantry and use the Ketzali as 4th Gen Hybrids to mix in with them. I think a ratio of 1 Ketzali to every 3 bases will work
