My blog about converting and painting miniatures spans various game systems. I'll repost the entries about 6mm Epic here. Tactical Command has more members interested in Epic than BoardGameGeek. My Tau army is under serious construction. It started with a pile of miniatures. ![]() It is very hard to find nice miniatures to replace the now OOP Tau Drones by Forge World. But spare parts from OTC vehicles by Onslaught Miniatures look very promising. ![]() Remember those banner poles from 2nd edition Epic? Well, they snap in perfectly. ![]() And those plastic banner poles can be glued to the plastic ruins by GW without any problems. ![]() And that's how my 6mm Tau Drones come to life. |

I also have some plastic miniatures to add to my Tau army. ![]() The legs of these "EM4 Mechwarrior STEEL WARRIORS" are not entirely just. So I have cut them off and flipped them upside down. But now the Tau Riptides didn't have any feet. So I had to dig deep into my bitsbox and came up with shield emblems for Warhammer Chaos Warriors. ![]() A lot of swearwords and drops of superglue later, the guys were ready for paint. ![]() And then, weeks later, this news came out ... http://www.tacticalwargames.net/taccmd/viewtopic.php?p=524623#p524623 |

Great proxy for the drones. Pretty smart use of the old poles as well! |

Those are Super Heavy tanks. (Shadowsword.) The miniature is from MechWarrior (collectible miniatures game): "Po II Heavy Tank". |
