Again, many thanx !!!! The color greens I use are various shades of green, and washes like GW's Coelia Greenshade and the old GW Thraka Green, Foundation Orkhide, Camo Green, a Light Yellow Green and Dragoon/Rifle or Forest Green from the the Craft store ... Do a little washing, dry brushing and detailing to blend the colors ... and as I've seen in old GW Catalogue and WDs, not all Orks are not all the same shade of Green. Like Human flesh ... various colors and shades. So I hope that helps ...

They're just so beautiful. You should not take this as a compliment L4 because I'm greener than a greenskin with envy and starting to develop a pathological hatred of your posts.

How do the E40k Grotz measure up against the Orks that go with those Nobz? I've got the Gobblers but they're weedy to the point that they lack detail and break like crazy. |

I wasn't a fan of the Gobblers when they came out either. Couldn't see any detail on them and had no intention of using them, seeing the E40k ones as better sculpts. I decided to paint some up anyway as I like variety between stands, and I have to say my opinion of them then changed. As I painted them and the colours were applied to the different areas it all came together and the models started to look really nice. I now use them mixed together with the E40k models and love the look that gives a stand of grotz. No two stands are the same now.... |
