I wasn't entirely happy with the Phoenixes so I did a bit more to them. I just added a very watered-down ink wash to all the green areas. The result is is subtle but at the same time I think it's made all the difference. I've updated the photo.

That scheme of yours looks stunning on the fw fliers - great work. Can we start a campaign for an army shot now ? :-)

Perhaps. But with such lovely sculpts it would be a shame not to get them looking as good as I can get them.


An army shot is definitely on the way. Once I've painted up this last Guardian formation, I'm going to take both a group shot of everything I've painted since I started up again and a shot of the whole army in its entirety. You'll probably have to wait a couple of weeks, though. I've made a start on the last Guardian formation this evening but I don't think I'll have time to get it finished tomorrow before I go on holiday.

Looking at the army There comes only one thing to mind

Green-super green

Well, that was a slightly longer delay than I had anticipated. I've been a bit busy lately and haven't had much time for painting. However, I have at last finished my final formation: a Guardian warhost with Wave Serpent transport:

At the same time, I also painted up this Seer Council, in case I want to use this army with the Ulthwé list instead of Alaitoc.

That completes my Eldar army. The army now stands at well over 12,000 points and includes at least one of everything in the Alaitoc army list. It's also a legal army at that size.

Coming soon will be shots of everything I've painted since I started up again, and then hopefully some shots of the whole army in its entirety if I can find a suitable surface to fit it all onto.
