I'm doing a WWII German Infantry commission at the moment with lots of camo, this got me thinking about the inevitable Guard army I must produce. After several test schemes I decided on the standard Cadian light brown and green camo. My first completed mini is a Griffin (it was undercoated and ready). As usual more pics on my blog.

I just love this part, since I am under the same spell, and am seriously contemplating painting several Guard armies.

Not sure if I can manage several, I may have several unit types within the same army. I like the idea of creating an Adeptus Arbites (or whatever their called now) detachment in their traditional dark blue with riot shields.

i have a closetful of guards waiting for colour.

As for adeptus arbites, I always thought that is what these exodus wars miniatures were for. Just go easy on the tauroxes, please.

Yer these were what I planned on using, though not with Tauroxes, those things are ugly. I haven't yet decided on their transport, will have to roughly like a Chimera as their stats will be used.

Expensive but Coolhand Luke's El Diablo model has he feel of an arbites chimera variant that swaps tracks for wheels. I use them myself as the arbite transport for one detachment in my guards (counts as whiteshields)
