My first project that I took pictures of, a kitbashed Chaos Harbinger, is here: http://www.tacticalwargames.net/taccmd/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=25413 Going forward, I will post any updates to my projects in this thread. |

I purchased a Landing Craft that was missing a few parts: front door, some gear, all weapons. I had some spare 3D-printed weapons for it but decided since I have a White Scars army to make it into something a little unique and transport bikes. The pictures below give you an idea of where it's going. It's still rough, needs mold lines trimmed, green stuff for gaps and most of the parts are not glued in place yet (not until it has been painted). The two red circled parts will likely be cut off. This will allow you to see more of what is being transported. I thought about putting some more weapons on these "arms" but I think the landing craft has enough weapons as-is. I likely will build landing gear in an up position as the craft could use this platform as gear when on the ground. For the bikes to get out, the bottom door would open and they would jump out while the landing craft was low to the ground or the entire thing could be dropped off. I can't decide if I want to have the bottom door open and have a bike jumping coming out or just leave it closed. I would need to pick one because the stand will have to go into this door. If open, I'll need to add some support to the ramp as all of the weight will be on it. |

Thanks, I've made some changes to the platform. Added more bits and modified a couple of existing areas. I think the platform is done, just to fill gaps and clean-up. I'll then move on to finishing the landing craft. The red circled areas are new or have been modified. I also added two Imperial Eagle icons (one on bottom and on the rear). |

Here it is, the build is 99% complete. The only thing missing is a small shield/bit (from grey knight terminator) to place on each side (circled in red in one of the pics) for a White Scars decal. For now, it's in three pieces, but once painted will likely glue the bottom two pieces of the platform together. I may leave the landing craft separate as it's really sturdy as-is. I now just need to do a final clean-up on mold lines. It may be a while before I get a chance to paint it. |

Pretty damn cool, man. I like the use of the shapeways turrets and other small details. They're what make the conversion work very well. It's begging for some paint too;) |

Just noticed the front clamps/claws are not fully seated, they do go all the way down. I must have bumped it while taking photos. |

I spent a couple of hours today kitbashing an Epic-scale White Scars Commander on Landspeeder from various 40k parts. It's a little bigger than a standard landspeeder, but I think it scales fine with the scout mini I used (see last pic for scale comparison). He's the boss, so he could have a larger one. Also, I will be mounting him on a square base, not the clear circle as shown. I still have some mold lines and clean-up to do before priming but this one is complete. With the green stuff hair/beard he looks like Santa... ![]() |
