Exodus war once sold bases quite similar to the E40K / EA "long" format, apparently just what you're looking for. Did they stop doing that ?

They're 40x12mm IIRC. (I designed 'em)

Does anyone know of MDF base's that have precut holes for the troopers to sit into the base? Or does someone know of anyone that takes custom orders of these?

Thanks,
Blind-

Oh and if you want plastic bases that are round and have holes for troopers, check out troublemaker games!

Fenris will also cut bases to any size you want, so if you want something different to the usual squares, circles or rectangles drop them a message and have a chat with them.

Has anyone used the 25mm diameter round bases with holes cut for 6mm minis? At £7 for 50 bases these look like great value, are there quality good?

I've seen them used, they're quite fine.
More expensive than these per base though. ;-)

I use them. They are good quality. At 1.5mm thick, the ply is strong (even the 0.8mm stuff is tough and not easy to cut).
I was actually the person who asked Fenris to make them and then they added them to their store as a standard item.
You can find some pics in my long out of date painting log here:

http://www.tacticalwargames.net/taccmd/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=24463

Hopefully I can get back to painting, but I have been to busy fiddling with rules and playing ;D

What I like about using Fenris is that all of my bases will be the same thickness (1.5mm). I have got some large circles to rebase my titans on, and some smaller ones for knights and fliers. I am also going to base my vehicles and asked them to cut me some rectangles with rounded corners for them (smallish ones for rhinos and bigger ones for land raiders).

Matt
