sadly this first post contains no pics.....

I've decided to set myself a stupidly large painting target for the next year (and I'm aware 2013 isn't over yet...)

I'm planning on getting my AMTL painted up all nice like, I've got a lucius warlord, lucius reaver, 2 mars reavers and 2 mars warhounds to go alongside my current lucius warhounds, not sure how many points that is, but it's probably pushing 4k with upgrades, I'd like to get at least some of them painted up before xmas for extra cool reasons

I also want to get more marines painted up, but there's already my TOEG13 log for that so blah....

I've decided to set myself the target of painting complete 3k (plus a few extra bits for variety) forces of the following:

Biel-Tan Eldar
Speed Freakz
Emperor's children

Now I've got all the bits I need for all 3, and I've just about settled on colour schemes for the latter two, but I really want to paint my eldar up as Mymeara, and I'd like some advice on how to go about this.... I've been inspired by Radek's minigeddon force, shown here but am curious whether this will be easy enough to do without an airbrush.... anyone got any close up pics of mymeara painted tanks and guardians? looking for epic inspiration here!

Gonna be using any infantry? The Freaks force I'm building is based around Freak Warbands for its core.

It has made me realise I need a lot more Skorchas though...!

I may use some infantry, but Jon's horde of buggies really inspired me! I'll be doing a horde of infantry for ghazgkull's list, mostly goffs in battlewagons,, bad moon stompas, gargants and weirdboy towers and, deathskull big gunz.... for now though it's speed freaks

It inspired you huh? It mostly gives me a good shoeing.....

For our casual pick up games he tends to rotate his Freaks/Eldar/Chaos. When I rock up and he says `I'll use the air wing today' I just know it's going to get painful.....

Great to see the fortresses and oddboyz put to good use.

So as the EpicUK campaign weekend will be the third war of armageddon, I decided to paint some orks..... I still have the freeks and they will be getting some love too, but I felt like my main army should be Goffs and Deathskulls, most people seem to gravitate towards evil sunz and bad moons but I think red, black and checks, and rust and blue are awesome schemes

I managed to crank out these lads in a couple of days, quite chuffed with em they are hard to photograph and could be better but they will do for now, at this stage it's very much quantity over quality.... and as papa joe famously said 'quantity has a quality all of its own....'
