Hello everyone,

After lurking on these boards for ages I finally have something to contribute. I usually play Necromunda (my Necromunda stuff is here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/446278.page) I've been spurred into action by recent events which have forced me to start organising my tiny tanks sooner than I had planned to. I'm thinking of using NetEpic rules as I am very nostalgic for the giant titan fests I remember from my youth and I never played E:A, although I might try and make things work for both.

I'm planning to paint a few armies at the same time and have an awful lot to do, so the paint schemes need to be fast. Hopefully they look OK. This is the first unit for my guard.

I like weathered tanks. I was also surprised at how cool these very old chimeras look when painted, I had only painted them as tests.

By the way I have a lot of stuff to swap in the trades forum.

Great! Nicely muddified tracks on those 1st gen chimeras. I've always thought their tracks looked way too neat.

More guard - I repainted some old infantry models rather than starting from scratch, which saved a lot of time. I plan to add one or two more infantry companies and a bunch more tanks!

And here's what I've got done so far on my Blood Angels. I'm not a huge Blangel fan but I love the colours of Mark Bedford's in White Dwarf so tried to copy that.

They look quite washed out here but are extremely bright really. Only problem is I did the transfers the wrong way around on the rhinos. I could have sworn tactical arrows used to be that way around, am I mad?

Everything is painted quite quickly as I have a lot to get done, I'm keen to get to the 'huge armies with several titans' stage as quickly as possible.

Very nice. How does one find a colossal looking thing like the one pictured in the middle of your tank mass?

Limited run forumware. It was beautiful.

I want one or two. And I have old leviathans to trade for them. They need paint-stripped (I got them off of ebay) but are good to go.

Unless someone teaches me how to scratch-build my own Sexy Leviathan.

EDITED TO ADD: Wait a minute, isn't Onslaught doing one sometime? Though it might be a tad bit expensive?

I'm trying to make it so that my collection of models will work for NetEpic and also E:Armageddon (which I have never tried before) and I am a bit unsure about basing.

I was thinking I could base things like chaplains and librarians on their own small circular stand which would work OK for NetEpic, but would that be acceptable in EA? Even if they are just a counter to show that the detachment has a chaplain in it or something?

People do this in Epic Armageddon too. I've played against officers on small circular stands which are placed next to the stand they have been "added to".

You probably have to pick them up in a busy assault situation so they don't get in the way of things, but I didn't notice any problems.

By the way, which heretical source must I hunt down to find some of those non-regulation Leviathans?

Cool thanks, I based on chaplains and librarians on 5p coin sized bases, I think that ought to work ok.

As Jimmyzimms said, the Leviathan is now out of production.

I've neglected this thread somewhat! Recently I've caught the epic bug again and I decided to make some scenery.

I used styrofoam for the first time, I've never been able to find an online supplier until now. Great stuff, I hacked it up with a bread knife and used a glue gun to assemble it on the fly, and then used filler and debris to blend the ruin parts in - I really enjoy this sort of thing, much more than 'measuring' or 'planning'. I really wanted some height to my ruins as I think they can look a bit boring otherwise, and I love the idea of towering gothic castles with titans stomping through the valleys below.

The mdf ruins are from http://www.eleventreedesigns.co.uk who made some 6mm versions of his buildings at my request, you can find some on eBay now.

And here is how it looks after some primer and a dusting of grey paint:

It looks pretty cool like this, almost like black and white Stalingrad photography I thought, so I made a gallery on my site, you can see it here: http://www.exprofundis.com/ruins-forge-world-aria/

Warning, most of the stuff on my blog is not 6mm big - I don't want to put you guys off!
