I still have some GS work to do, but these are the basic bones. I am thinking about sort of doing a melting flesh effect from the torso into the mechanical legs, ala the 40k Soulgrinder. I will also probably put some spiked armor plates or something on the legs. Any other suggestions on how to make this thing super cool? I would love to hear them! Throw anything out! Any bits it needs? I intend to use it as a Banelord and maybe a Khorne Lord of Battles. Assault marine at feet is for scale. ![]() |

HI this is an amazing piece so far. I have two suggestions. First make something with the arm. It looks very static not not natural. He is a demontitan not a only a machine. ![]() Second thing is that it feels out of scale. A smaller Head or some details and bits from the epic range to give it. A dead spacemarine as a necklace or something. But the most important part would be the chimneys(?). Add some more smaller ones and give the bigger ones some more detail with GS or plasticard. What about smaller rockets in the rocketpods? LIke 7 small rocketheads in the free slots? Maybe I am too nitpicky but i love the model so far. ![]() |

I'd armour the feet up - chaos marine shoulder pads are good. |

Looks good so far! Agree that the lower legs needs some padding or armouring to look right - consider the existing titans, they all have some sort of lower-leg armour. If you want to add extra bling, you might want to look into adding fine chains (around the torso, hanging from the guns, etc). |

Great, thanks guys! @DasBilligeAlien - no worries, I appreciate the comments and thoughts. I think I will put some of those Chaos Dragon heads on the top of the chimneys. For the arm, do you mean the rocket arm or sword arm? @maddoctor and speaker - yeah, for sure, I plan to add some armor plates to the legs. Just trying to find the right bits. As for the feet, I was thinking about putting spikes or talons of some kind on or in place of the mechanical toes. Any thoughts? Would love to hear other opinions! Thanks! |

I agree with the sentiments above that it just doesn't feel Epic (despite being a really nice model). I think the weapons make it seem more like a 40K model than Epic... the sword seems out of place to me for one thing. |

I don't think anyone above said it doesn't look Epic, although, I do completely agree with that criticism. It doesn't look Epic. Unfortunately, I just don't have the extensive bits box of Epic components to really do that, but I've got TONS of 40k bits laying around. The only thing that I can sort of say in my defense is that it is updated and is maybe a little bit more in line with today's 40k aesthetic rather than the late 2nd / early 3rd ed 40k Epic aesthetic. But, yeah, I agree that it will probably look like a 40k model in a game of Epic. But that's ok! I am doing the best I can with the tools I have to hand. Any suggestions on how to make it look more Epic greatly appreciated. |

Clever kit bash. Agree that you need more in scale detailing. Not necessarily GW-bits. Have a look at e.g. Exodus wars assortment of bits. Chains were mentioned. There are also plasticard I-beams and sheet material that is quite nice. Still, I wonder if the perfectly scaled head/arm/torso is right. Someone mentioned trying a smaller head. That might do it. Nice model though. How big is it? |

@ DasBilligeAlien - Wow!! Thanks for going to all that effort. I appreciate it. I like those suggestions. I will definitely add detail to the chimneys. The arm will be hard to reposition, but I can give it a try. I have a tabbard that I will add between his legs to get rid of some of that negative space. What do you guys think of these armor plates for the legs? They are not glued on yet. ![]() |

No problem, you inspired me to make my own kitbash. I have a even worse epic situation. No epic bits and only few technical 40k bits.I am buying plasticard today and upload somepics later. XD Thank you for your inspiration! The leg armour is very cool. Now that o see the sword arm fro nthe front. Maybe you only need to rotate the arm backwards. like this maybe? http://i.imgur.com/PWDlBXf.jpg |

legs still need up armouring - the extra armour on the feet makes the titan look weightier and more stable. |

Better with the plating. Still something about the proportions that does not add up. Looks very good looking at it with GrimDark-Barbie (Tm) scale lenses. A bit too slender with epic lenses. How tall is it compared to e.g. a Warlord? |

Personally I'd swop the gun and missile arm around giving it a Carapace missile launcher. I'd also look at giving it a carapace. |
