I've been thinking about adding some chain to models and the only place i have found with it is Micromark.

Anyone know of a place that has this stuff... for 6mm scale..... for less ?

I bought 1 foot of the 20-link size to check it out for looks.

You could try some of the train model places. My father builds model trains from scratch and they often have chain elements (please excuse my ignorance!) but they are on the couplings etc, also on wagons holding logs.

hmmm, after some more searching with different keywords i did come across some hobby sites that sold chain but the prices were similar. I was about to stop looking when i saw a link on the third page of search results. . . can you believe it ? i actually went beyond the first page !! I saw a link to Etsy. A site to sell handmade, vintage, and craft items. And i found it !!! different sizes too from 1mm length chain links to 5+ mm. And it's much more affordable. Apparently its for making costume jewelry. I guess i should have thought of that before . Now i'm gonna go check Michael's Craft Store.
