I would not have an issue with that, but in the end the only person you need to agree to this is the people you play with.
I believe as long as it is obvious what a stand it, I do not care if the figures are not "Official GW" or not.

It will be ages before I get to my IG army. It's 3rd or 4th on the list, but I thought I'd ask this question now. I've got tons of SM era guardsmen and a few sprues of Epic 40k guardsmen. As players, would anyone object to my using Epic 40k Guardsmen as Storm Troopers with SM era Guardsmen as regular guardsmen? I don't want to shell out the money for real stormtroopers and I don't really like metal that much anyway. The 1 or 2 guys in my area that play wouldn't care, but I wanted others opinions. My real hope is that some day  , there might be others to play against and I wanted some feed back.While I have your ears, here's another question. Anyone else do things just because they look cool? I play for fun, not always to win. ?Therefore, I like to do things that are visually appealing, but not tactically sound. ?For example, when basing my Ork boyz, I often use larger (but still legal) bases and max them out with 7 boyz(and who doesn't have extra boyz lying around). ?It makes the army look so much bigger! ?An extra 36 boyz in a 'Uge mob. ?It also makes them a bigger target. ?Not tactically sound, but looks way ORKY! |

I often use a mini, or titan weapon, just because it looks cool or I haven't used it in a while. Having fun is more improtant for me, too.

Ive been thinking that some of the DRM minis would make excellent storm troopers, particularly the special forces troops. May not be tournament legal but would look so much better
