I've been talking about a multipart Dominatrix/Hydraphant in which the back could be swapped out so that the model could be either one. ?And I have finally built it. ?
The original plan was to have the carapace held on by neodynium magnets, but they turned out to be too big and too powerful. ?So instead the carapce just slots in.
The wee beastie was made out of spares from 3 40K carnifexi (the new yummy plastic ones) and I still have enough spares left to make a pure Hydrphant.
So without further ado or tongue waggin from me the pictures

Thanks everyone. My only problem now is that I have to wait on my GW bitz orders for my next conversions (I surpose I could paint the unconverted models).
Hena, the beastie is made from the
scything talons from the heavy weapon sprue
the bioplasma carnifex head
the scythed tail from the carnifex sprue
two spine bank carnifex carpaces
two spore carnifex carpaces
2 dominatrix thrones
1 1/2 rolls of green stuff
a few paperclips
Oh and Vanvlak, how many hats are you wearing if you are taking hats off?

Let's see, my engineering hat, my lecturing hat, my researcher hat, modeller hats (Epic, 40K , BFG, fantasy, VSF etc etc.....), astronomy hat, environmentalist hat **OUCH** ok, ok, husband hat, cat owner hat.....
