I've just finished a company of Imperial Guard infantry for EpicA, they are painted up in the uniform of the Praetorian regiment and I used Heroics & Ros British Colonial Infantry for the figures. I wrote up a report on why and how i did it which can be found here....

Nice work!  I was kicking around that idea just a month or two ago -- nice to see someone put it into reality.

How much did the figs from H&R cost, in the end?

Fantastic! :D  Great Job there, it's also nice when someone does a real 'passion' project and puts careful thought and planning in to what theme/historical background they're wanting their army to convey.  Excellent! :)

Very nice, and well painted also.

I have the intention of doing the same thing, but I have the marching version infantry. I also have some Indian infantry and Bengal Lancers, which I'm thinking of using as the Jopall Indentured regiment, also toying with the idea of using field artillery towed by elephants!!! :D

Anyway, well done I really like your work.

Thanks for the positive comments guys. It is good to know they look OK. I look forward to seeing the Jopal Indentured Lancers, Assassin!

Att: javelin98

I bought two packs of MC5 British Colonial Infantry (48 inf in each pack) at ?2.00 per pack for the standard IG figures. I also needed two packs each of GWB11 British Trench mortars and GWB22 British Heavy Machine guns at 40p per pack for the support troops. This came to ?5.60 + P&P  for the basic company, the extras from other manufacturers for the command stand came from my ?bits box?, so were free although if I wanted to get them for the project I would add in another ?2.00 to the cost. ?8.00 or ?9.00 would be the total cost for the company including P&P. A bit pricey but you get exactly what you want and have plenty of spare figures to start building another company or extra platoons.

Regards
