Hi guys, thought I would share some photos of my Rhino mine clearers and bridgers. These are for my Squats, which I actually use as IG Abhuman troops. The paint job isn't so good, but I hope to do a repaint soon. ![]() Anyway, enjoy. ![]() |

Are the bridges scratchbuilt, or from one of the micro-armor manufacturers? Thanks, jav98 (Combat Engineer, 1991-1997) |

Thanks for the praise guys. For those of you that have asked, here's a brief rundown on the conversions. Bridgers: The middle one has a metal bridge from a Heroics & Ros 1/300th M60 bridgelayer tank (can't remember the proper name) with a few bits of plasticard tubing for the front roller. The other two bridges are totaly scratch built from plasticard and fine chain. Mine clearers: The one on the left is from the ork tank sprue. The middle one is constructed from plasticard and brass pulleys for building model ships. The one on the right is made from plasticard tubing and fine chain. I got the idea from a book I have about Hobart's Funnies, which were the experimental vehicles/tanks used for the D-Day landings. Many more wierd and wacky ideas are in the pipeline, if I ever get the time to converting them. ? ? ? ? ![]() |

Great stuff ! ?Love the Flail tank and AVLBs ?(Our CEs had M60 AVLBs in the 2ID and 197th Mech Bde) !!! ?And in the old days IG had Rhinos too (we still do, IG can have Rhinos APCs (looks a lot like the M113s in my Co.) ?or Chimera IFVs. ?And they make great platforms for the IG's 79th AR Div. "Funnies" ! ? ![]() ![]() |
