Galeforce 9 has this marker (click the link) and I've seen them and thought they were pretty neat. I have BFG markers etc but want something that really stands out so when people are watching the game deciding if they wanna get into it there will be plenty of nice "shiny" stuff for them to see and ask questions about. Does anyone know a better one? P.S. I know I could make some but if I put it on my to-do list that's exactly where it'll stay

Nice, but two issues for me:
1) $10.99 for only three
2) Look at how big they are next to the 40k stuff. Not sure I would want to use something that big.
I think the best I have seen were the Steal Wool on Washers then dry brushed with Red, Grey, and Black (If I remember the instructions right).

Hi!
I've looked at these when they came out. Very nice, but as mentioned quite expensive.

4tonmantis,
If you do elect to get a set, could you shoot a picture with one next to some Epic please?

That explosion marker is the size of a warhound titan.

Quote (Evil and Chaos @ 27 May 2006 (18:28)) | That explosion marker is the size of a warhound titan. | That was what I was worried about. Too large, in my mind, for 6mm.

Agreed, nice, but look too big for epic. The price is a downer, too.

Someone shoudl have a talk to them about producing smaller versions - they could have potential to be popular amongst historical micro gamers too I think.

When I can buy more then 100 Red Glass Stones for about $1.50 USD, I can not see spending more then .10 each for them.

They look like multi-part markers to me. Maybe you could pull them apart and get more markers out of them that way?

i'm actually friends of friends blah blah blah anyway i'll see if they'll work on it. they work closely with our gaming store and several of our GT goers are VERY close with them. I actually just got all of my Epic stuff in today so had nothing to compare. They have some on the shelf at the store and they produce a blast marker that would occupy a 40mm base and stands approx 1.5 to 2 inches. You might be able to chop it up but it could bet dicey and to be honest the more I look at it the more it looks like a campfire rather than an explosion Hopefully I can get one of the Warmongers to talk to them if not I'll send them an e-mail myself.

If they could just take the Epic blast markers and use those as templates, at a decent price, I'd buy a bunch.

I sent out an e-mail earlier today detailing several things that could use their attention. Included was: Blast markers, Psychology, Overwatch, Suppression, Falling Back, and anything else I could think of. I would imagine if they were really interested they'll respond with more specific questions. I also mentioned several other specialist game needs (such as a replacement for the status dice for BFG and knocked down status for Necromunda and that sort of thing)
