Hi guys,

Some time in the future I hope to add some air support to my Siegemasters. The Thunderbolt and Marauders are fine minis but I fancy something a little more retro for my clunking bolt-action siegers.

Anybody know of any alternate aircraft minis that could be of use?

How about some of the Crimson Skies stuff?

http://www.wizkidsgames.com/crimson....seid=23

Some of them have a pretty retro look.

Cheers javelin98!

There are some cool minis there. Where would you buy them from?

I like the fact that they're all prop-powered.

Also have a look at the Crimson Skies section of Iron Wind Metals.

http://www.ironwindmetals.com/

They do the metal range of these miniatures.

Now those are damn fine!!!

I'll have to have a search on the net and see if there are any UK-based stockists.

How retro do you want to go?

You could get some of the 1:300th scale WWI craft and go real retro. :D

I think that might be a bit TOO retro. They've still gotta be able to believabley take on Thunderbolts, ThunderHawks and Ork Fighta Bombas! :D

I think you can pick some up from http://www.popularcollections.com/crimson-skies.html, www.iconusa.com, and eBay.  I haven't found a singles shop yet that has CS singles.

I was looking at some of them a short while ago, trying to decide which would make the best Ork Fighta-Bomma.

I think it depends on what you do with them. I mean some of them do not look bad and the IG armies, Siegemasters being one, do look WWI ish.

I think something like this British plane might work:

Nice lot of sites with some cool models.

but really what use are aircraft in a siege army arty does a much better job. i guess only one use would be on intercept mission.
