I'm suffering from battle report fatigue which is the only reason I haven't posted up reports for the last three games of my campaign. So in the meantime, I thought I'd start a thread just showing you some random pics from battles that I fight but won't be posting reports for...

First up, my first ever battle with my newly painted Khorne force. I had to nick the Marines from the Slaneesh force I nabbed on ebay a wee while back.

Regulars to the forum may recognise the first outing for a few new terrain pieces and the infamous beer can Vortex template!

The funny thing about consuming vortex markers is that you often find that the next day they suck your guts out... My toilet has barely survived the effects of several vortex attacks in the past! :D

Thanks chaps, really appreciate the kind words! My Khorne force didn't do too well* but given that I'd never played Chaos properly before, I expected to take a bit of a beating. I was enjoying seeing my newly painted army (& terrain pieces) on the battlefield so wasn't too focussed on the job at hand. They say pride comes before the fall, so in my case this was very true! What really broke my heart though was when the pride and joy of my army, my Towers of Skulls, which I spent so long painting, were pretty much wiped out before they got a chance to open fire.

*It is worth mentioning that I did enjoy one beautiful moment where a Cauldron of Blood sprayed fiery hell on to that big bridge, taking out most of the Marines there. For years I've wanted to see one of those fire templates wreak absolute havoc, but it never really happened for me until this game. The only thing that could have made the moment even better would have been if I had Rage Against the Machine's "Bombtrack" playing. "Burn, burn, yes you're gonna burn!"
