Thanks for the comments all. This dream basement has been 20years in the making. The wife agreed with you jimmyzimms. House had to have a basement to hide in during tornado season. So 500 sq ft is finished with no windows. The other 700 sq ft is my hobby bunker with the egress window. As for building it we hired an awesome company out here to handle that for us. Wish I had an army of minions. |

Building the hobby desk. It is a 8x6 built from 2x4s, 1x12s, and two sheets of plywood. Has storage on top and below.

Meh its minor (Hilo kid here  ). Just a bit of a blow. Typhoon every 25 years or so. Tornados f-Ing scare me. Braver man than I good sir.I fully support your bunker priorities: place for your family and pets and of course, little plastic men. Sod everything else

Updated my shelves. One completed with additional MDF shelves. Gives me 15 shelves that each hold two of my 2x2 boards. Should take me a bit to fill it up  Not sure why the pics are sideways. I'll work on that.
