I've bought some Forge world models recently to add to the Imperial wing of my Epic army. I've just tried to undercoat the Hydra platforms with black as I tend to do. However it doesn't seem to stick to the resin at all. Has anyone got any ideas on how to deal with this or what alternate paint I should be using? Cheers Rob |

First of all you should wash the pieces in soapy water to help remove some of the mould grease which is causing the problem. I usually spray undercoat my models which tends to stick much better than paint applied by brush. |

I find a light white undercoat works well, but the models do NEED washing first. |

Yes, wash in dish soap, OxyClean, etc. ... I was thinking about brushing with alcohol or Simply Green then washing ? And I plan on base coating with flat black, gray or white enamel, then painting with water base paints ... ![]() |

Hi! That seems to be the common advice. Wash them first. Primarch |
