Hey guys, who here uses round bases? What's your experience with them? What size do you use? Any tips would be welcome, I'm currently torn between the current rectangular strips, and round basing.....

I use mostly strip bases, but my Marines will use Gale Force 9 25mm rounds. I know others use washers or various coins.

Cool, I had some Renendra 25mm bases I was thinking of using. Now I just need to decide if I want to paint on the sprue or on the base... decisions decisions...

Hmmm.. just tried out the 25mm bases.. found them too small.. 5 figs get pretty cramped... What's the next size up that's readily available? 40mm is too big, tried that too..

You can get 30s from GF9 - My Rhinos will go on them. Remember that if your preferences run that way anything between 3 and 7 infantry per base is allowable per the rules.

I ordered a bunch of 30mm bases from warbases.co.uk yesterday. I'll give em a shot when they arrive. I've gotten bases from them in the past before, pretty good stuff.

I use 1p and 2p coins, but only for walkers, artillery and cavalry/bikes.

I use custom bases from Litko. 23mm for bikes and walkers, 27mm for standard tanks.

I have pics (bad ones) of some roundbased orks in one of my links below. I think the inf was on 25 mil washers (could have been bigger though. Getting old...). I found that regulars work fairly well, but chunky guys are a bit cramped.
