So I finished assembling two thunder hawks yesterday, and it dawned on me... How am I actually going to paint these badboys? Normally I'd just mount minis on bases or Popsicle sticks, but some of these epic vehicles don't lend themselves well to it..

Anyone have any killer ideas that they can share?

Thanks for the replies folks. For the glue and nail method, which glue do you recommend that can hold a thunderhawk's weight, yet still come off easily? I suspect white glue will fail miserably....

Superglue! And anything stick wise you have to hand, an old epic sprue, biro pen tube, wooden pole
etc, as long as it holds well when its glued and does not take up the whole underneath of the object
your painting its all good ;)

As for the base blue tac, plasterscene etc, I myself normally use epic sprue superglued and then superglue that to a plasti card base then when you are finished painting just snap/cut of the model
and you have the base left over to use again on another project ;)

Or depending on how your basing have you considered using strong magnets i.e drill a hole
in the thunderbrick glue the magnet in flush and then you will have the chioice of putting
it on and off the flying stand during the game or storage etc ;)

Regards epic
