Full length? Likely around 50mm in length, 8mm wide, and 8-10mm tall.

Remember 6mm scale is for all intents and purposes 1mm:1ft.

or 3mm is about a meter, depending on which side of the 'really stupid units of measurements*' you come down on.

*Sorry, but i sometimes have to use American Standards. You don't even have the same gravity over there!

Cheers guys. You can't watch more than a few episodes of Strike Back or NCIS:LA without coming to the conclusion that storage containers are great for a shoot up!

As to which unit, I'm That confused generation of 80s English kids who have grown up using metric for half our measurements and imperial for the other half.

I follow the good simple English way of doing things. When it's hot I say "oh it's over 90 degrees (F), but when it's cold I say oh it's nearly zero (C). I measure the length of things in cm but my height in feet and inches. I weigh myself in stone and pounds, but food in grams. In a pub I buy drinks in pints but in shops in ml... Simple eh?

that made me laugh :) At least the pound was decimalised before I could count, having my Dad recount what was what makes my head hurt.

Standard containers are nominally 8ft x 40ft x 8.5ft

For ease of creation and for best fit with existing epic models I would just use the 12mm x 40mm infantry bases as the sides of the containers.

That gives containers that are too wide and too tall, but that can be hand waved as not important for a game set in the far future.
