Okay folks, been kinda lurker like around here, going to try to change that. I have just about finished with my Battletech commissions, and it's time to move on to personal projects.

This is some German inspired camo I used on two of my tanks.
The one of the left is finished but looks like it could really use another hit of dull coat.
The one on the right still needs jeweling on the 3 guns and was done with a slightly different technique that resulted in it being much darker than the Demolisher II (left tank).

I was thinking of going with this camo on my tanks, or sticking with a sandy light light camo (as I'm heavily leaning towards Talarn).

Well that's all for now, I'm off to stress out because I'm now officially out of devlan mud and I need to find a suitable alternative.....

Love it, especially the carbon burn on the barrels. Good camo pattern. Could easily take one of the colors and switch with VCG khaki (or the equivalent) for a desert scrub look. Another option would be to take the green and use a less vibrant option (GW Elysian Green/Camo Green). A third option might be to do the "chocolate chip" pattern on top of the existing design.

You might want to take a look at this thread. I've put up a swatch comparison of the old GW washes and the Army Painter inks. There's some practical use though not exact in the color match so finish up a unit before switching. I've been using them recently and am quite pleased.

Welcome past the threshold! Great work on the camo! I was thinking of something similar for a Minervan extension to my Guards and your work is great inspiration.

For Devlan Mud alternatives, I can recommend Vallejo inks, brown and black and some water works well for me.

Looks good. Camo suits the style of the minis well. Where are they from? Ral Patha?

Woo! Thanks for the kind words guys. Started painting up some infantry today, and really like my palette so far, I may go with Jimmy's idea to keep the pattern but swap out the colors for something that makes more sense in a sandy environment.

I will look into the washes, looks like I will take a stab at the strong tone ink from Army Painter.

The mini's are from Iron Wind Metals. Demolisher II and the D.I. Morgan

Very nice, those tanks would be good for an AD-mech force.

Update. I decide on a paint scheme for my vehicles. Here is the first victim.

Just need to seal it and add some brush. Maybe add a bit of scorching at the back of the jet engines.... not sure about that one yet.

If you had a set way of doing that checkered pattern I'd really like to hear it, thunderbolt looks great!
