Hi!

I have quite a few sets of custom made walls from back in the day, but one of this size would be pretty cool to have. :)

I have some big ass Ork gates and walls similar to that from 20 -odd years ago.

Hi!

Remember who made them?

Mine were made by Ron Dubray, he's a sculptor and minis guy for dream pod 9 doing heavy gear models. Way back then he made some custom resin molds for some high walls, trench systems and bunkers. The pictures are in my primarchload link in my sig.

I do like these though. They are lighter than resin and psypher can make quite a few interesting designs and modifications with his cutter. I would think these store more easily than my heavy resin stuff too.

Sorry for lack of clarity-they were homemade from mountboard.

Hey guys thanks for the interest. These pieces are the basic wall units I have a corner section and a gatehouse on the way and a few other pieces. I intend to snazzy these up a bit with plastic strip and other odds and ends and I hope to be able to post a few pictures by the weekend showing what my long term plan for these will be.

Primarch mate your right these are extremely light being hollow and are easily boxed as they can be put over on the side or back wall for stowage. I will be doing damaged/breached sections later that can be swopped out during a game, one of the reasons for having multiple separate pieces.

Paint will be awhile yet but construction continues and I have more designs to get down on paper too. :)

They are light pieces once put together...I had a quick mock up of some of the pieces and I'm eagerly looking forward to seeing them all jazzed up :)

Mind you, I nearly had a hernia carrying the box to the car the ammount of wood that was in the box. I'm sure Moredakka is planning on replicating the full length of the outer defensive walls of the Emperors Palace or similar ;D :D :P

Can't wait to get my parcel mate. :)

Emperors palace well now that is something I've always intended to do one day like forever. Waiting on FW to release the appropriate siege of terra volume, um could be awhile me thinks.

More on this project very soon.

Your not wrong mate.

Took the evening to sort through and now I need to get them glued together, should be a productive weekend.

I'll try to post a few pictures over the weekend too.

Here we go chaps I've put a load of my walls together so that you can see what I intend with them. These are in no way finished yet just put together to get a general feel for the thing.

I wanted to make it as modular as possible with plenty of options for different additions to the battlements so the wall tops come off so that different modelled pieces can be put on to taste. Used a simple lug system for this so that they don't get knocked of during play. The gatehouse door just slots into the bottom of the wall so that it can be open or closed.

Pics of the individual modules.

Thanks again Primarch. :)

Right the next set of pictures are what you really want to see. Here we have it all put together with some figures for scale.

Wasteland bunkers added to the tower sections.

Holy crap! It's huge. I love it!
How thick are the walls at the top? Wondering what size bases can fit up there.

Woahhhh!!! This is what I've been waiting for mate. They look the part now, much more impressive than sitting on my laser cutter in pieces :)
