damn, nice. Practical question, how did you do them? as in which order of colours and what method of aplication?

I started painting some (same scheme as yours) and gave up very fast …

did you do red first? gold? dry brush? paint individual panels?

Hey

Sprayed the models with army painter dragon red.
Painted the lower hull section with the breaking thrusters on it black.
Used Vallejo bronze on all metal areas.
Then i used my black wash mix to shade over the whole model, ended up doing that twice to get good shadeing in the recesses.
For the scorched effect lower parts i used FW's black pigment mixed with white spirit.
I didn't do any highlighting or such on these.

These have been a bit of a pain to paint and took an age to finish but i got there in the end. :)

I have some chaos marines under the brush but this post is to show an early WIP of project Castellum for my heresy legions.

Base pieces cut and floor plan being modelled. Long ways to go yet put i'm happy with it so far.

Thanks for the interest chaps. Another update on this one soon.

Aaron buddy i have considered doing additional pieces for this model but really you can get away with a sort of straight linear defence by just useing multiples of the top left and bottom right (in the picture) pieces alongside each other. I'll show you what i mean via some pictures soon.
