I've got a bit of info in my site here: http://www.mustangsalling.dk/imperium/knights.html The bit about Rogue Trader Knight Mercenaries are home made fluff though.
Cheers!b

AFAIK, Imperial Knights are the pendent of Eldar Knights. Both live on fringe worlds of the galaxy - untamed planets with a thriving wildlife - and use giant robotic suits (ie Knights) to herd Dinosaur cattle native to those environments.
Those worlds were created by Eldar in ancient times and are known as Maiden Worlds. They were supposed to harbor Eldar rebirth but some of them were colonized by humans and Eldar craftwolrd citizens are unlikely to leave their wraithbone homes anyway.
Eldar and Imperial Knights respect each other and have far more in common than towards any other faction, including other members their own races. Yet, they differ in their relationship with dinosaurs: Eldar are able to attune their mind to the saurian creatures and to ride them in battle, along with their Knight suits. Humans are unable to control the dinosaurs to that extent and just use their Knight suits in battle, yet they are far more sturdy than their Eldar counterparts. Not all humans are Knights, it's only the nobility. Humans are far more numerous than Eldar even on those fringe worlds and can come along massive battalions of infantry - their men-at-arms.
Imperial knights have little contacts with the Imperium except for trade matters. They don't worship the Emperor and follow medieval nobility codes - King, Duke, Baron and Knight in that order. Each Knight Household is a single family so they share a common heraldry when going in battle.
Hope this helps. ?

I worte a few things about that on my site too The article was in Incoming 23 as well but basically it's just playing around with the "vivid" light brush tool in Photoshop.

 | Okay thanks - I'm an airhead - must've read the article already then,... and forgotten about it too - until now when I thought "cool!".
And now for something completely different: Knights!

Also try a search here on the forum, seems we posted a lot of the back ground at one point a while ago.
Just a suggestion.

Hi!
I may have even posted the WD articles, but I routinely take that stuff down, so it may no longer be available.

I know I have the WD articles, too. I guess it would just be a matter of scanning them into my PC when I get a chance.
