20 years ago, in 1992, while browsing in a comic book store, I purchased an issue of White Dwarf that had an article about a game called Heroquest (I think). Also in that issue was a battle report of an Epic: Space Marine game; Space Marines versus Chaos. Upon reading that battle report, my imagination ran wild and, as soon as I could, I purchased the game. Today on April Fool's day, 2012, I am celebrating 20 years of collecting, painting, and playing the hobby I love. Why on April Fool's day? One, I can't remember the actual date I started this hobby and, two, cause I was a "fool" to begin this hobby. So with with beer and fajitas, I'm celebrating, and, hopefully, if I'm still sober, I'll be posting pics of the armies I've currently painted (they are already set up on the table). Here, here, to 20 years of passion and I look forward to the next 20 years and beyond. Thank you God. Adrian |

Can I assume, since there are no pics here yet, and it is no longer April 1st, that you failed to stay sober after posting this?  Its amazing how grateful we get, as we get old enough to know how grateful we should be {edit} "Afro" doesnt show up on black very well...lol

I can't tell you how many times I tell my wife I blame walking into a hobbyshop in Germany in 1992 and seeing Space Marines on the wall and the beginning of the downfall! You are not alone! |

Cool that you know the date were your live changed I can´t but it must be around that time too. My first contact with GW was a blister of WH40K space marines. Hey guys, sorry I haven't yet posted pics. I did get a bit sloshed and I spent a majority of the day grilling. I did take some pics that I'll post this weekend but I need a better camera. Thanks for the comments. |

Then you copy the link to your post with these [ but you do it, Left bracket img Right bracket Link Left bracket /img Right bracket I'll post a pic as an example which you can click quote on my post and before you post you should be able to see exactly how i posted the pic threw text i believe.
