Howdy, the Big Paint ? continues, but in the meantime I've got around to taking some better pics of my Epic Iron Hands Army. ?Well, when i say better, they've got more detail but are a bit dark! ?This first pic is of the two Tactical Detatchments, one lead by an Iron Father, the other by a Librarian.

Here's the Land Raider and Terminator detatchments.  In games I'll actually use them as two detatchments, they're just together for this picture.

Here's the Predator and Devestator detatchments, complete with Razorbacks.

Finally, here's a pic of the mini which inspired me to make this Army, an old Plastic Dreadnought I happened to have as part of a lot I bought off ebay.

I liked the fact it looked like the Venerable Dreadnought model produced for 40k by Forge World, and I go to thinking about which army would take ol Dreads like that... and Iron Hands sprung to mind! ?(that and the fact I knew they'd be easy to paint! ?:D )

And it did indeed take me longer to paint the scenic bases than the minis themselves! ?:p

I don't actually use it in this army now, I think I'll make up a little objective/scenery piece using it.

Nice work - and the Dread looks good in the Iron Hands' colours. AND I second Markconz's question :D

The insignia was painted by making a semi-recangular-triangle type shape, then a smaller triangle above that.  Paint four white lines above that, and one at the side.  It takes a bit of practice, and varies by how much paint you have on your brush - believe me this makes the difference from them looking more like 'Iron Paws' Marines! :D

Thanks for the positive feedback anyway.

Hi!

Great stuff!

Next time around, you'll need better illumination for the pics, the lighting doesnt do the minis justice. :)
