I'm having difficulty getting information on the Adeptus Mechanicus era metal Rhinos. Were both the mk1s Epicollector lists commercially available? Are there common components?

Yep – both commonly available (ebay commonly has them – an example, showing both types).

They come in three pieces: left side, right side and centre. There are two variants of the centre; one with spikes, one without; and the sides came on a single sprue.

The sides do not have variants as far as I'm aware, and were also used for the Vindicator and Whirlwind. Here's an ebay auction for the track sprue.

Yeah, got mine back in '90-'91 ... you can always find some on eBay ... And there is only one version ... with the ram on the front ... but it can easily be taken off ... ;D

I have four of them. I like them way more then the plastic ones. I got them in the mid '90's from a guy who was going off to college. He sold me two Capitol Imperialis and three hellbores, for all of $40.00. I bet he regrets that now.
