While I'm still sluggishly finishing off my last Wave Serpent and Command Falcon, I've been thinking of doing other stuff (getting bored slightly with Fire Dragon Troupe).

For some reason, cowboys and Indians came to mind....  the scene with wagons in the middle with the cowboys and the indians running around them.

who would you use as the cowboys and who would you use for Indians?

I like your choices, except what would be wrong with the RR being the Cav?

hmm... forgotten about the IG. One army I don't really collect. Got loads of Orks, so that's not a problem, but I may need some IG :(

but now that you mention it though, the ideas's rapidly forming in my head.

It is both good and bad the way we feed off each other.

Good that we can help each other find the inspiration.

Bad in that it often leads to spending more money. :p

The RR is Light Horse not true CAV, as in SM1 !  :;):  I collect all armies and it can be a bit "pricy"! :D

I once played a Rourke's Drift style scenario in Epic, with the IG as the British and Orks as the Zulus.

The Orks had no long ranged weapons and it worked quite well.

Either way, the RR are closer to Cav then the Marines in my mind.

Besides, I love the idea of a whole mass of RR coming onto the board as a "save then IG" move.

Hi!

Squats would make good cowboys in a defensive scenarios of "wagons". Since said wagons could be their famed battle cars from the land train. Getting attack by orks in buggies.

Ooo I like!  :D

That is an image that came to mind with ease.

Land Train circled up, buggies and wartraks circling.

Squat bikes and trikes cresting the hill to save the Land Train...

Yes, I like the images.
