Been quiet lately, so is everyone enjoying the summer to be stuck at home painting or making conversions?

I'm making a command stand for my fire dragon troupe (even if rules aint got it) and putting insane detail on this... actually amazing myself with the detail I have, but taking my time doing a bit at a time and actually letting the green stuff dry (unlike when I did my assassins).

I think this will look good, but once painted, it'll look different, so I'll try and take some pics before painting it. Still need the Falcon Grav tank to go with it, which I'm slightly stuck what to do

:L

oh... pic of the first stage. I'm actually onto stage 5 of 6, but didn't take any interim pics :(

stage 2 - pads on thighs
stage 3 - axe in hand and shoulder pad
stage 4 - range weapon in other hand
stage 5 - range weapon complete and last shoulder pad
stage 6 - Head decoration

So anyone guess what it is yet
:p

Ummmm wossisname Fuegan? The Fire Dragon old man himself?

Sigh, I'm enjoying working on my postgrad this summer and preparing a new set of lectures grumble grumble. BUT there's 2 Epic conversions on the deck ar the moment (one is just a 2nd Land Waster, so nothing new there; I can't say much about the other yet, except that red ones go faster). I've just completed my first 2005 Epic comp entry, which is of course a taboo subject! There are more planned. In WHFB a lizardmen proposal is being considered, not to mention an few weird types for 40K inquisition. Plus some 28mm scale Victorian stuff. But I'm actually impressed at how Epic has swallowed up a proportion of around 90% of my conversion work! :D

hmm... tempting to leave this for the Epic Comp... but to be honest, I didn't really enjoy the comp when I entered last time. So I think I'll leave it.

I could enter it later, considering the last rules said you can have things painted this year, but just don't post any new images... but I always think that never seen before ones tend to have an edge.

Anyway, got to go to work. I'll post completed images after.

Having too much fun kiteflying in the sun at the moment- making the most of our british summer before it's back to the traditional rain and cloud!

Just Busy doing all kinds of Epic models and Terrain !  Did a bunch of Ork Looted AFVs (about 3 Mobs) with left over stuff ... but they remain unpainted, as of yet.  :blues: :D
