Hi, The last 1 1/2 months got rather hectic, which didn't get better with the new semester, so I didn't get to spend much time on sculpting Still, in a few hours now and then I managed to gradually finish one of the WIP pieces I showed you some time ago. I thought some pics might be in order... ![]() The miniature is a Tau Watercaste Envoy, directly based on the Inquisitor 54mm model, which is shown for reference in pic #7. He is accompanied by an escort drone, basically a smaller gun drone with pulse pistols instead of pulse rifles. Since I'm short on time right now (I have to get up early tomorrow), I will only write a few short comments on the pics. [Please note: The minature is not actually properly assembled, the parts are held together by small lumps of brownstuff, which makes them look rather "stuck on" and add some width and height which is not really there. This is particularly obvious on the arms and the drone stand] Here we go, in numerical order: #1, 2 & 3 These show the individual parts, still in their disassembled state, of the Tau himself, the drone and a base + flying stand I made specifically for the drone. The Tau insignia on his necklace (which itself is barely visible here) was quite a pain to do, but I think it adds a lot to the mini, so I didn't want to leave it off. On the other hand I dropped the runes on his robes shoulder parts, because chances are they would have looked just like some random clutter. #4 & 5 These should give some idea of what he would look like assembled. I think the head is somewhat too big, perhaps I try to create a smaller one someday. (It might, however, just (mostly) be due to the brownstuff joint , I'm not sure). In #5 I put him next to a firewarrior, to show that he is approximately the right scale, considering that the FW is slightly crouching, while the Watercaste is standing bolt upright. #6 shows a close-up of both the envoy and the drone. I am very satisfied with the way the gizmo in his right hand turned out, which shows very well in this pic. Lastly some self critique: There are a few points I don't like about how he turned out, but luckily they can all be changed (when I find the time to do it): - the head is probably slightly too big, which is a shame because I otherwise like it very much, and I hate doing heads... -the sleeves lengths don't match. this is easy to correct, I just didn't notice there was that much of a difference before assembling him. - I should give him a higher collar, which would probably also help compensate for the head's size. - his body is a little too thin. This is easy to change, but I have to be careful not to make him seem fat ![]() That's it for now, hopefully I will be able to sculpt some more in the near future, but it looks rather bleak at the moment... Cheers, Drasannar |

Speechless indeed, again The quality of your work is superb, I like his 'thiness', gives an otherworld quality to the piece, the sleeves do need to be evened up though but that is a minor gripe, Iwould buy him as is. |

Well, I would love to host as many articles as possible with your stuff. If you are interested, just email me a word processed document and some pictures and I will put it together as an article and host it. I think that it would be a shame if others did not get to see this stuff. My email is: webdude@epic40k.co.uk Thanks. |

Hi! I was about to suggest the same thing CS. Someone should host his work on their website. Primarch |
