It has been a long time since i last put up a post, so this is my Mk1 Thunderhawk also know as the Thunderbrick. I have to say i have a soft spot for the Mk1, i don't really know why, i just do. To look at it, it is not a very attractive model, and aerodynamically it sucks. Maybe that's it, it is so ugly that you can't help but like it.

I thought it would nice to see all the pictures from each stage of the build, so here you go.

How i got it from Ebay.

The Mk1 is the only epic model i can think off that didn't have a cockpit. I never understood that.
Maybe it was meant to be some kind of drone or something? anyway i made it one with some greenstuff. Not bad really as it was my first attempt at using greenstuff other than as filler.

I tried for the first time something a bit different and had a go at engine glow. I think it turned out ok but it would have looked a lot better if it was red or orange. "Next time Gadget"

Please tell me what you made those engines out of? That addition alone is a 100% improvement to the model. (Which I admit, I also have a soft spot for.)

Thanks Berkut666, and thanks S'Cipio. The engines are dreadnought close combat claws. I filed down the old engines and glued them on.

Damn, that looks... ok. ;) Please accept this as a massive complement for a thunder brick. :)

Brilliant! Lovely, clean, sharp painting and great freehand.

Hopefully it won't be another 5 years before the next formation!
