Well, eeeer no, it's colder than grey.
A brownish grey would be warmer than grey.

Anyway, a bluish grey would give a better contrast with the red armours & markings, so I agree that shadow grey highlight would probably look better.

Dobbsy <- not artistically trained BTW ;)

To me if it makes it stark it's colder if not ... warmer :) blue isn't stark on black to me. But we digress...

Here's something on warm and cool hues. :)

James Gurney's Gurney Journey doesn't have any specific 'warm and cool' explanations, AFAIK, but it's still a great blog for explaining all kinds of colour and painting effects. Here's the results of a search for 'cool', which might be a bit less dry than the first site too.

Pictures kind of suck but heres a pic of my wip dark eldar razorwing i've been working on. New to this whole scratch building so i put my own flavor on it rather then try and copy the 40k model. Happy with it just not sure what i want to add for detail and i gotta add some weapons. Let me know what you think.

If anyone has any idea's on what i can do to add some detail to the fusilodge that would be awesome. I want to stay away from using anything from Grandma Wendy on this, i want it totally a homebrew affair.

P.S. I was going for a sleek build that slices through the air yet give it that fragile eldar look.

You could draw patterns on it with a pencil then scribe over the pattern with a scriber (there are even special scribers for plasticard that don't create raised edged but I forget what they are called), you can roll tiny balls in greenstuff cut them in half to make the 'gems', even cut out the paper thin card stock to make 'plates' and hatches etc.

Nice job so far.

The colors are gonna be white as the main and the olive green as the side pieces. i think everything looks dirty and disease ridden and am happy with how the miniatures came out, i just have no idea how i wana do the bases.

Thx for lookin,
Blind-

I might be the only one who dont like having vehicles on bases , its strongly associated with infantry to me so anthing bigger then a epic "square" I dont put on bases
I very much enjoy looking at your convertions , and if your happy with the painting dont ponder on it
... surely there must be other models that need some paint ;)

(is this where I remind my fellow forum readers that this is just imho ?)
