Post subject:  Chaos Death Wheel Conversion Help
Hey,

first post here and i hope that's the right section to ask this. :)

Anyway, im planning to build a Death Wheel after the instructions from http://oubliette.tranquility-base.us/deathwheel/index.htm.

Most parts are quite easy to get, but the Epic Chaos Landraider Turrets are a different thing.
So my question is, are there any "Landraider Turrets" around that might do the trick, like SM Landraider turrets? I have never owned any Chaos or Space Marine vehicles before, so i have no idea about the components.

welcome to the boards.
you should be able to use just about whatever small scale tank weaponry (or even small arms from 40k with a bit of fiddling) to make deathwheels, because they're non-uniform, and frankly, goofy looking.
space marine land raider sponsons would be fine i imagine, and you can find plastic ones on ebay cheaply. alternately, check out Exodus Wars above, they have turrets for their vehicles available seperately (you could get the cool skull ones even!)

I ended up using spare plastic ork gunwagons with the missile launches coming from fantasy dark elf repeater crossbows.

Thanks guys, some great ideas.

Ill give the Edenite skull turrets a try, either the reaver or reaper turret. As main gun im using the 40K chaos havoc lasercannon bit..
Time to order the missing parts. :)
