Total waste of money. 60 USD down the drain. Near impossible to get off the THICK AND TOUGH sprue without breaking them at the legs. Then so much flash for a 6mm mini it's incredible. Trying to take the flash off w/ a fingernail will break an arm or a weapon off - that's how fragile the plastic is. Using a knife is surgeon-level blade work as the flash is hard to tell from the actual mini. Spent money (30 cents per plastic figure!) to avoid wasting too much time converting eldar. Have now spent much more time glueing these bloody minis together which, at the end of the day, are just casts from eldar conversions anyway. And I've had so many breaks that I've had to convert Eldar in the end.

Yes, I'm mad... and I waited over 6 months for them too.

I experimented with resin casting 6mm infantry a while back. Flash is pretty much impossible to avoid, and the minis are indeed very fragile. I'd only buy metal or plastic for small infantry now, personally.

Sorry to hear that Carlos,

As E & C said resin 6mm are a nightmare, In very small numbers say to add a bit of sparkle to a few stands, but to build an army out the stuff is defo a no go :-[

Especially if the resin is white as it becomes guestimation when cutting and as said easier to convert current GW stuff.


To be honest it may be better to chip in with other people on the forum to get some of the folks on here with CAD skills to design a figure line that your after, If enough people chip in its guaranteed.

Bought enough Wyches to do 8 stands of 4 each, ended up w/ 6 stands of 3 each. Great. Well, now it's done. Let others know they'd best avoid this 'product'. It makes finecasting seem like a dream!

Shame! I did have a feeling this might be a problem with such fine resin cast models when I saw them. Resin electric-warriors are fragile but workable, but elfs are too thin to survive well.

There are different formulations of resin, not all are created equal, nor are for the same applications.

One thing they all seem to have in common, they get more brittle (to a point) as they cure.

I've casted 6mm troops with success, but I'm glad I clipped them off the sprues and trimed some of the flash before the resin got too hard.

Sorry to hear that they didn't turn out, the pictures of them looked cool.

I won't contact the supplier as it took me over half a year to get hold of them and I'd rather have the mish-mash force I managed to put together now than wait until 2012 to play them. As for refunds and the like, I'd rather not go that route w/ somebody who contributes(contributed) so much to the hobby. Besides, it's not a business transaction where you can just get a refund.

As for the quality of the models, yes the bigger ones like the warp beasts and the reaver bikes are okay-ish to work with due to their size. All else...

Yeah I'm sure the best option is just to slag the models off behind his back rather than approach him

I have tried one piece white silicon molds and polyurethane resin with good results even in 6mm. But maybe 6mm Eldar are too "thin" miniatures.
