I'm on the verge of completing a new epic battle scene that I'll be submitting for the comp, but my pouncing genestealler's a bit messed up and I need to paint a few more corpses.
But in the mean time, I'm wondering which title I should use, or has anyone any better suggestions?
Trapped like Wolves (that they are)
Lamps to the Slaughter
Setting:
Bjorn blasted at the approaching aliens, covering the retreat of the others. The shadow of the hulking Carnifex covered him as Bjorn turned in desperation, unloading the ammo of his assault cannon at the monster. The two sets of might claw clamped into the dreadnought and tore it into two with ease.
Ulrik retreated cautiously, keeping his eyes out for the Genestealers that were climbing the canyon seemingly in an attempt to out flank them.
Logan struck the Gaunt aside with his mighty hammer, unaware of the Gargoyles above in the air ready to swoop down.
Cornered and outnumbered, Ragnar climbed onto a stone slab in hope for one mighty inspiring speech, but a chill of the grim reaper ran down his spine before he could speak his final words...
