If you look at 1:72 aircraft and tank models, they are covered with beautiful surface detail, including hundreds of rivets... My question is; how do you replicate these rivets and get them perfectly neat?!- do you use thin plastic rod cut to minute lengths and extreme care....? Anyone tried it themselves..? ![]() |

I use slices of thin plastic rod. The technique I now use is to use a CD case, put the superglue on that then using a sharp point, pick up the rivet, stick in the glue and then put where you need it. It is fiddly and difficult to do neatly (as most of my stuff is Orky I can get away with being less than perfect). |

I've heard about using tiny drops of super glue. Haven't tried it out myself though but perhaps using some sort of filler or thick varnish applied in small dots with a needle or toothpick??? Cheers! ![]() |

One method I have also used (following Warmaster Nice's comments) is to use small drops of PVA (white) glue. |
