Right now, a game with any force would be great. I am a Marine player of the three, but happy to field the Orks or Guard as the need arises. Whichever you like to paint is fine by me. Alternatively, I could have a go at speed painting myself!

I already dont watch any TV, at least without doing at least one other task that needs doing at the same time!

No...... computer....... games ???? , are you mad?

Do you need to ask?

And Cybershadow:
If you fancy painting up a Gargant / great gargant, I reckon I'll give an Ork Force a go after these guys. I've only got 1 KoS done on grass in my collection at the moment, so i could rebase them if needed and reckon I could do up the rest of the force in good time, but if you want a gargant, I hate painting them, so that would be down to you!

So what happens when Jervis sends you one to paint for them?

I do what I did with the Warhound - knuckle down and paint the miniature to the best of the ability & time I have.
Thats not a matter of choice, thats work, and I'll still put my heart into it if I can. But if Iain wants to field one, he can do it himself.....  :p

So what has Jervis planned for you to paint in the future? Any clues as to future releases?

I remember you mentioning some Steel Legion in another thread....

Cheers

Chris

Ack.

You make me want to give up on ever painting all the trash I have. ?If I painted that fast, it would all be done now.

Primer's not so bad, I guess...

No idea what Jervis has planned for me. I got 12 hours notice on this batch.

I'm never sure what I'm meant to say, but I guess there's no harm in telling you what you the stuff which most people already know is in the pipe line.
Right now (as in I'm typing whilst paint dries), I'm painting a stand of Stormtroopers. My god I love these guys. You know I generally say what I think, I wasnt keen on the warhound but painted it for example, but these guys are class.

Also doing a Vanquisher and some other IG armour (There's some nice new stuff coming which I hadnt heard they were doing BTW... wont say any more but treadheads should be happy). They're generally one off pieces from resin master models at the moment, havent done any big units yet. However, I need to send these off tomorrow so slightly tight on time!

Day 4 - Friday 24th October - One of those days....

Bit of a strange day today. Got up late, which didnt help the schedule to start with. Poped out without a key, which should have been fine as I was promised someone else (going by the name of Father) "would be in, working from home all day". Needless to say I duely was locked out my own home until 4pm.......
Just to add salt to the wound, when I finally did get in, I discovered I've bought the wrong sand anyway so it was a wasted journey... Ho Hum...

So that rather ate into work and painting time. Thus, currently at 2am here in the UK, I've just finished Fanatic's next batch ready to get posted tomorrow. And yes 'Seer, I am teasing slightly, but Chris asked and I'm simply saying all I know I can without risking annoying the boss ?:D

However, in between coats of paint drying on the Fanatic commissions, I have had time to slap up some more desert camo. The 8 Sentinels are now finished, They're not looking very good, but they'll have to do.
Determined to feel like I was making progress, I ignored the Leman Russ Company markings which still need highlighting and did the basic brown coats on 3 Salamanders (for Regimental, Mechanised & artillery company command units) and 3 Medusas (medusi? Used as griffons at any rate...).

What a fun Friday.....

Days 5&6 - Sat&Sunday 25&26th October - Weekend of Rugby

Sorry I didnt get a chance for a writeup yesterday. Was busy watching the Rugby, going out & painting in between times. :D I'll try to get an update in tonight if i get some more done, but it might get missed, so count this as todays as well. ?

Anyway, pictures are now above for Friday.

Whilst I may not have had the chance to do a full write up for the day yesterday, I did get the chance to squeeze out a decent number of new miniatures. I am still somewhat avoiding the infantry, but the armour is almost done! (until the reinforcements arrive with payment from Fanatic that is!)

I rattled off:
Finally did all the highlights on the Leman Russ Co.'s markings.
Completion of the medusas.
Completion of the Salamanders, but one still need company markings.
3 Demolishers - might add company markings, but they're awkward on those models so avoided them for the time being.
3 Hydras - Dont like these, they came out a bit poor.
3 Stormhammers (baneblades for the army list). Also need company markings.

Hopefully by the end of today I'll also have 6 manticores done, but England kick off in the rugby shortly, so no promises ?

And the evidence of my work:

Ack - Just watched the highlights. 10mins per side, not the best but "ho hum..." better then nothing. Looked like a great game though. On a related note from yesterday's games; Good luck to the USA when you meet France ?in your next game - the frogs are on fire!

Anyway back to painting.......

Hi!

Yep, I am doing alright at the moment, but as of tomorrow things will slow.
1) I'm working mon-wed, then going away Thurs til Sunday so time itself is more scarce.
2) I'm getting down to infantry until I get i get paid by Fanatic, and they'll probably be a lot slower, though I havent figured a quick scheme for them yet.
When Fanatic pay up, the force will recieve a few more armoured reinforcements (time to find out what those forgeworld Marauders are like me thinks....).

Last point I should have noted earlier, the force also has a few attached transports and the like just for the hell of it becuase I had them spare - 6 little "modern" halftracks from irregular(?) and 3 super heavy transports from GZG. I'll be basing the little ones 2 to a warmaster base, so they can stand in as chimeras if needed. Also, the storm troper platoon has been replaced by the sentinels - I just cant stand the catachan figures & having seen the new ones coming from fanatic, they're worth waiting for ?:blues:
