Hello

I am gathering proxies for a Necron army right now. I am following the classic path for most of the units (e.g. Edenite for infantry, Otterware for vehicles). I am missing a few more models though. Any ideas?

Harvesters: I am thinking about using Firestorm Armada Dictatorate ships for all three Harvesters (Abattoir, Barque, Orb):

Barque (pretty much as is):

Abattoir (pretty much as is):

Orb (as is but with a marble or something added on top of the round exhaust in the middle):

While these models don't fit 100% into the GW Necron style, they would at least be internally consistent (i.e. all Harvester have the same style). Thoughts?

I am also looking for a good proxy for the Deceiver. The two obvious options are both to tall for me (40k model, Warhammer Spellsinger). I am using the beautiful Nightbringer proxy from Apo so I need something in the same size class (about 15mm tall). Does anybody know a 15mm model that looks similar enough? Some kind of Wood Elf mage or Wardancer type in 15mm?

cheers
Helge

They look decent enough as easy proxies but there's a size issue - your proposed DC3 war engine is half again as big as your proposed DC8 war engine.

Someone on the forum is making a barque proxy to cast, you may want to work on the other stuff first and hopefully by the time you finish them that'll be available.

Ah, overlooked the size bit. Maybe I could use one of the smaller Directorate cruisers or frigates as the Barque instead?

Any idea on the Deceiver proxy?

This is a long range project. I am going to devote 2011 to model aquisition so painting won't start before 2012. Squats, Eldar, Tyranids and/or AdMech are on the list fo 2011 painting.

Talking Apoc into making one? I imagine quite a few of us would like to see one (me included).

I'm in need of a Deciever proxy as well. I was planning on converting one, but if there's nothing really fitting out there a custom-made proxy would be welcome!
