Just finished painting up a Wave Serpent:

It's basically Ulthwe colours, to match the Eldar planes I'm doing for Aeronautica Imperialis:

Hoping to ultimately make a full army, although I'm currently working on 6 other projects...

Hi CheesyRobMan,
nice to see a wave serpent painted up
good detail, though you could add some kind of wash to the yellow oarts
I still can see the panel lines
I like the bleached bone on your weapons
gives a good contrast too the black parts

Painted up a stand of jetbikes in the same colour scheme:

Looks like I might be starting a project after all... to go along with the other 6 (well, 5 if we assume that my Ulthwe AI planes form part of this project! ;D )

Finished the jetbike unit:

And as the change in title suggests, this is now going to be a painting log for my Epic stuff. I have Eldar, Orks and AMTL to finish off (or even start) so plenty to keep me busy!

looking good, only thing i might suggest is using a differnet basing method to enhance your paint jobs a little more, something 2 toned and a bit darker.

Cheers

Great work, I have to agree on the green though, GW grass is the best to use, just glue then smother the the base pushing bits down with an old painbrush, leave it to dry then shake off then a gentle brush with an old toothbrush! Its a good colour grass material and suits 6mm well, and a tub lasts ages ;D

Complaints noted about the bases! I will find an alternative method so that Otterman can see again... ;)

Painted up a Nightwing for the Aeronautica Imperialis side of things:

Or you could just smother the bases in Gesso, then basecoat and drybrush -- that green flock gives a nice texture even if the color is objectionable.

I do like the black and yellow color scheme.

I like the green basing. Helps you to spot your models on a dark table.

It's a kind of painter's primer, sort of a mix between glue and primer coat. It would do very well to stabilize your flock on the base so you can paint it.

Is Gesso available in the UK? (or similar product)
