Well, here goes; a (rather foolish) new resolution to finish most of my Eldar by the end of the summer (or should that be Christmas.. ![]() I've been inspired by a load of nice new models (cheers Dafrca), and the need to get a decent Epic:A force finished... I have half of my excellent FW tanks fully painted up at the moment, along with a load of accompanying stands- however, there are tons on sprues and these already painted will need rebasing to my snow theme. - I made a start last night by undercoating a load of stands, and a few tanks, and converting my new Cobra so it looks bigger (the new Swordwind superheavies will be bigger than the E40k ones I imagine...). |

Very nice Storm, was working on Eldar myself over the weekend, painting and repairing a couple of titans (thanks Dafrca) and repainting Guardians (Siam-Hain) |

The spines are the backpack vanes from the new plastic 40k Eldar Guardians- most 40k Eldar players will have a few spare I'd imagine. I decided to use them as they help it tie it in with the look of the new 40k Wave Serpent kit (coming out next year- have a look on Portent for pics)... |

I've decided to change the rest of my tanks a little with this revamp- I felt that the plain black didn't really show the great details of the Eldar tanks off to their best- so I'll be carefully picking out all the channels in between the larger panels with a lighter colour- in this case, bone, to match the other details. After doing a quick colour test on a spare model, I decided it would work well, and did it on the Cobra, and this Wave Serpent: |

...and a comparison with one in the old style (and desert base).. |

Very Cool colourscheme Storm. (Sorry about the bad pun) The Snow base really emphasises the coulor of the model. This is a great idea for Eldar who have so many colourfull models (Aspects etc.) Also the idea with the bone trim is a very nice touch. Ulthwe and other black Eldar vehicles easily tend to look rather dull but you'rs have come out with a lot of really nice detail. Great work Cheers! ![]() |

Nice W/Serpents ! Hope mine turn out as well ! I do prefer the desert over the winter ... for modeling. But aftering operating in both environments, I'll take a warm temperate climate ! ![]() |
